Unus Safardiar , né en 1968 à Samarkand (Ouzbékistan) , diplômé de peinture de l'Ordre des Arts , Saint Petersbourg [ 1979 -85 ] . Après ses études, il entra à l'Académie russe d'art à Saint Petersbourg faire sa maîtrise en beaux-arts. Il est venu en Grande-Bretagne en 1994 et depuis, il s'est impliqué dans la sculpture à plein temps.
« Ma sculpture est ma vie. Il y avait une période où je voulais juste surprendre, puis à 32ans, j'ai réalisé que je voulais transformer l'espace, explorer une réalité alternative et relier le passé, le présent et le futur. Mes sculptures reflètent cet état d'esprit".

1994 Won competition among young artists for the project “Old Street Roundabout Statue” in London. Anglo-American company, IMMARSAT - commissioned the work.
1995 Joint Exhibition of young international contemporary artists, Poland and Germany
